This small top-view engine is inspired by an upcoming rally game by www.globz.com (no link to the game yet).
It is basically a variation of the mariokart engine (Discussed in this Flashkit thread).

Click on the movie and use Arrow Keys to move.
Hold down SHIFT and use Left/Right Arrow Key to strafe.

Updated December 18, 2003:

• Added a tree sprite (single image)
• There are 4 sprites in the scene, no depth sorting
• No sprite optimization (all sprites are drawn even if they're outisde the view)
• Reduced the rotation speed a bit
